One of the most popular destinations in all of America is California. It's big. It's the third largest state in the country, with 163,696 square miles and over 250 Motel 6 locations. California is the ultimate road trip destination with endless sunshine, world-class theme parks, and incredible outdoor experiences. It's beautiful and unique in that it has everything from national parks to big cities. The state capital is Sacramento, but it is only the sixth largest city in the state ... the largest city is Los Angeles. The state is also famous for the Golden Gate Bridge, Disneyland, Hollywood, Wine Country, Silicon Valley, and of course, the Surf Culture. Did you know California has the most major league sports teams in any state? There are 21 professional sports teams, five MLB teams, four NBA teams, three NFL teams, three NHL teams, three MLS teams, two NWSL teams, and one WNBA team. Also, the state sport of California is Surfing. It became the state sport as recently in 2018!
