Shining A Light On Four Generations of Service

Veteran: David Hoskins

Before he was a volunteer, teacher, scuba diver, and a proud Motel 6 Lightkeeper, David Hoskins was a military police officer in the U.S. army.

David's passion for serving others runs in his blood. His father and grandfather were Veterans of World War II and Vietnam. This military legacy has continued with David’s son, a recent graduate of the Space Force. “Grandpa would have been so proud of me,” his son said. David shared these same words with his father when he enlisted in the Army. They proudly keep this family legacy alive by sharing stories, letters, and artifacts collected by their grandfathers while deployed overseas. 

David and his service dog, “Cali,” always choose Motel 6 when they travel since Veterans, service animals, and all pets are welcome.
